Signing of contracts between Ukraine and Norway


Joint press conference between Prime Minister of Ukraine — Volodymyr Groysman and the Prime Minister of Norway — Erna Solberg took place in Norway on January 28, 2019. During the meeting countries signed contracts on nuclear safety, green energy and energy efficiency. The main emphasis of the contracts is on investing in renewable energy.


Five contracts were signed between the parties during the meeting. We are pleased to announce that one of these cooperation agreements was signed between Norwegian Norsk Solar, represented by managing director Oyvind Vesterdal, and Pro Energy company — director Ruslan Delidon. The parties agreed on joint investment and the construction of a solar station in Kyiv region. The intended capacity is 9.2 MW with expected investment of 9.2 million Euros.

According to the press office of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the document provides that Norway will give a start to the Ukrainian-Norwegian initiative on increasing energy efficiency of public buildings, reducing energy consumption, and Ukraine will create favorable conditions for the growth of trade and investment.
