A wood processing company approached Pro-Energy with a specific request: to reduce electricity costs and ensure energy security for production. Market conditions and instability in energy supply made this challenge critical to business stability, requiring a solution that would ensure uninterrupted operations, improve cost predictability, and minimise the risk of downtime.

Implementation

In April 2025, we completed the project to supply and launch the Avus 1000 plus cogeneration unit in a container design. The implementation took about 9 months — from contract signing to commissioning and transfer to service maintenance.

The main technical challenge was configuring relay protection and ensuring proper operation of the transformer substation on the customer’s side, which caused delays in commissioning. These issues were resolved through a systematic approach, with continuous communication with the customer and the equipment supplier, 2G Energietechnik.

Signing the contract and drawing up an implementation schedule;

Manufacturing equipment with deadline control and FAT (factory acceptance testing);

Organising delivery to Ukraine;

Installation and commissioning;

Advising the customer on legal and technical requirements prior to launch.

Conclusion

After launching the cogeneration plant, the company achieved significant economic and operational benefits. First of all, it managed to significantly reduce electricity costs and increase energy efficiency by 40%.

This ensured the stability of production processes even during periods of power outages and, at the same time, strengthened the company's energy security.
