Supply and commissioning of the Bright Biomethane plant with a capacity of 600 Nm3/h
1 year and 2 months
organic waste from plant and animal production (biomass)
An agro-industrial holding company turned to Pro-Energy with a request to implement a technology that would allow them to process their own organic waste into biomethane, feed it directly into the Ukrainian gas transportation system and then export it to the EU. The client's key requirement was the supply of modern equipment for upgrading biogas to natural gas standards in compliance with European technical and environmental standards.
Модель: PurePac CII.
Biogas capacity: 600 Nm3/h.
Biomethane yield: 308 Nm3/h (≈2.46 million Nm3/year).
Operation time: up to 8,000 hours per year.
Raw materials: sugar beet pulp, energy crop silage, cattle and pig manure.
The project to launch the Bright Biomethane plant in the Chernihiv region has become a landmark for the entire industry: for the first time in Ukraine, commercial biomethane production with the ability to feed into the gas transportation system was implemented.
For the market, this case has confirmed that biomethane in Ukraine is a real economic tool that opens the way to European integration and reduces dependence on fossil gas.
