Two cogeneration plants with a capacity of 3.12 MW for an agricultural enterprise

Solution

At the time of the client's request, Ukraine had a feed-in tariff. Therefore, we offered the best solution - the installation of a cogeneration unit that would run on biogas from the client's own plant and produce electricity and heat. In this case, the customer can sell its own electricity at a feed-in tariff, earning additional profit. At the same time, his biogas plant needs to ensure the standard temperature for technological needs, and the cogeneration unit guarantees a complete solution to this issue. As the next stage of this project, it is planned to install a 200 kW CHP module to fully utilize excess heat and generate additional electricity to cover the plant's own needs.

The project was approved, and we moved on to the stages of developing project documentation and organizing the supply of equipment. And here we faced the first difficulties.

The required equipment was an oversized cargo and required special transportation conditions. This meant that we had to go through a certain bureaucratic procedure to obtain transportation permits. This slowed us down a bit, but did not stop us.

But that was not all. Step by step, we were getting closer to the commissioning. And then we were faced with events that could have really stopped the project before it was even implemented - a full-scale war broke out. Foreign specialists could not come to Ukraine to carry out commissioning, and the project had to be completed. Therefore, it was decided to urgently send our engineer to Germany for training to perform these works.

In addition, the latest technologies were used to accomplish the task of launching the plants. The Pro-Energy team worked in augmented reality glasses with a camera for video communication with the engineer on the manufacturer's side. Thus, by working together, we were able to synchronize the work of the teams remotely and successfully complete the project.
