The customer operates boiler houses supplying heat to administrative and residential buildings, requiring reliable electricity for uninterrupted district heating. Dependence on grid-only power made the enterprise vulnerable to outages, so the client sought to decentralise its energy supply, gain independence from external networks, and strengthen heat generation capacity—an effective solution we successfully implemented.

Solution

Since the client already had a natural gas connection, a highly efficient cogeneration system became the optimal solution, ensuring energy autonomy and reliable power supply for the district boiler house. In addition to generating electricity, the unit produces heat used for district heating, supporting stable operation of the system despite not covering the entire city’s demand. This approach reduces gas consumption, lowers costs compared to grid electricity, and provides greater operational independence with economic benefits for the community.

Conclusion

With the launch of the cogeneration unit, we have fully ensured the client's own electricity production and partially increased the heat generation capacity.
