Pro-Energy at Grain Storage Forum 2024: bioenergy, investments and energy independence of the agricultural sector

Content

Our contribution to the forum

We were invited to participate in the panel discussion “Biogas and biomethane for energy independence and competitiveness of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex” at the conference “Agro-energy security and agro-energy efficiency”. The presentation was devoted to our successful cases of biogas and biomethane projects.

It was a pleasant moment that our clients were among the other panelists. By the time we spoke, the name Pro-Energy had been mentioned several times, which confirmed our company’s trust and reputation in the industry.

What was discussed during the panel discussion?

The main focus was on the development of the biomethane industry in Ukraine. After all, it was the first companies to launch biomethane plants that drove the opening of biomethane exports. They had to make significant efforts to ensure that the executive bodies worked on this issue in a timely manner, rather than postponing it to an uncertain future.

Another important news was the connection to the grid and launch of a new biomethane plant, which we already knew about, as we were the general contractor for this project and, together with our Dutch partner Bright Renewables, performed all the necessary commissioning work.

What did the forum say about us?

Our approach to project implementation was highly appreciated. In particular, MHP Verdant’s representative, Mr Adomas Audiskas, emphasised our ability to meet deadlines even in difficult war conditions. For us, these are not just words — we always fulfil our obligations to our customers regardless of the circumstances.

The main conclusions of the event

1. The launch of another biomethane plant in Ukraine is important news for the market, which was announced at the forum. Our involvement in this project was significant, as we carried out the entire range of work, from design, construction, equipment supply and commissioning.

2. The importance of biomethane in the export perspective — the first manufacturing companies have shown the real way forward for the industry and proved that Ukraine can be competitive in the international biomethane market.

3. Social responsibility of business — an important part of the event was a charity collection for the needs of the military. This is yet another reminder that business development today is closely linked to maintaining the country’s defence capability.

4. As of today, three biomethane plants have already been launched in Ukraine. We are incredibly proud that all of these projects were implemented with our participation using equipment from our Dutch partners Bright Renewables.

Impressions and results

The Grain Storage Forum has become an important event for all participants in the agricultural market and bioenergy. For us, it confirmed that biogas and biomethane are not just a trend, but a real solution for Ukraine’s energy independence. We continue to implement new projects and help businesses take steps towards sustainable energy.

We urge everyone to support the “Gurtom UA” charity foundation and join the collection for the needs of the Ukrainian military. Together to victory!
